Ananda Banerjee

Biography

Ananda Banerjee is an author (Common Birds of the Indian Subcontinent, Nature Chronicles of India –Essays on Wildlife, Wild Trail in Madhya Pradesh and Amy – The Amur Falcon), environmental journalist, graphic designer and documentary photographer.

Banerjee is recipient of the prestigious Royal Bank of Scotland (RBS) Earth Heroes Award, Asian Environmental Journalist of the Year (AEJA – Singapore Environment Council) and Ramnath Goenka Award for Excellence in Journalism.

In his 20 year professional career Banerjee has worked in advertising agencies, non-governmental organizations and national news media in India. He has contributed to several books, magazines, galleries and museums around the globe – Grosvenor Gallery, London; National Museum of Natural History (Naturalis), Leiden; World Water Exhibition, Hague; Water Asia Exhibition, New Delhi, International Crane Foundation, Wisconsin to name a few.

Banerjee writes for India’s second largest business daily, Mint / www.livemint.com (launched in association with The Wall Street Journal).
