Katiana Murillo is a Costa Rican journalist working in sustainability issues for more than 20 years. Katiana has worked as journalist and consultant in communications for national and international organizations such as La Nacion Group in Costa Rica, IPS news agency, Rainforest Alliance, the German Agency for International Cooperation (GIZ) and IUCN and the World Bank ́s Alliance of Communicators for Sustainable Development initiative (COM+ Alliance). She attended COPs 18 and 19 in Doha and Warsaw as part of the Costa Rican Delegation. For COP 15, in Copenhagen, she organized a workshop for journalists from developing countries in an alliance between COM+ Alliance and UNFCCC. Since 2011, she has been in charge of the blog on sustainability for the Costa Rican newspaper El Financiero, covering issues such as climate change, corporate social responsibility, and sustainable tourism. She is also a professor, researcher and author of books on environmental education.
