Disha Shetty

I am a science journalist currently based in Pune, India. I mainly write on public health, climate change and gender. Following the subjects I was passionate about led me organically to an undergraduate degree in mass media and from there on I have experimented with different roles within media before discovering science journalism - a role that satisfies both the nerd in me and the extrovert. In between I have taken breaks to go back to college - first to Asian College of Journalism (ACJ) and then more recently to Columbia University. I am most proud of my reporting on climate change in India for IndiaSpend - a body of work in which I have used data, ground reporting, and narrative long form writing.
