Aishwarya Tripathi is a young journalist, based in Lucknow, Uttar Pradesh, working with rural journalism for over three years. Presently at Gaon Connection, a digital media platform, she reports on stories from across beats, develop ideas, work on data-based reports and collaborate with experts.
She was one amongst the 10 chosen fellows by National Foundation for India in the year 2021, and reported on vaccine hesitancy from rural Uttar Pradesh. This story was included in the report '50 Success Stories of Rural Women in the Pandemic', by Gaon Connection.
At her former organization, 101Reporters, she was connected with a network of 2,000 freelance reporters, ideating and executing rural stories and co-leading the series "The Promise of Commons," to cover judicious management of commons.
She has been recently been involved with and reported on a project by Gaon Connection to capture the efforts of rural teachers, going beyond the call of their duty.
