Arathi Menon is an experienced environment journalist based in southern India. She has more than 15 years of experience in the mainstream Indian media where she handled various editorial positions. She has also worked as Content Editor at India Water Portal, a website that reports on water conservation and sanitation issues in India before switching to independent journalism to pursue her interest to understand and report on sustainability, how the change in climate and land use affect animal behaviour and human lives, energy transition, increasing man-animal conflict in south India and threats to indigenous peoples, with keenness. In the process, Arathi has closely followed the research and new findings in the field; interacted with researchers and done articles that take a nuanced look at environmental issues.
