Ben Bilua is a journalist based in Gizo, Western Province, Solomon Islands. He is a senior reporter working at one of Solomon Islands' fastest growing media organisation "Island Sun Newspaper/Online". Bilua is Island Sun's Environment Reporter covering climate change, environment pollution and conservation. He is the author of "Sinking sands in the Western Solomons" - An article about the impacts of climate change in parts of Western Solomon Islands. Bilua has completed his studies at the University of South Pacific majoring BA in Journalism and Law. He has been in Solomon Island media industry since 2009 before he went for further studies in 2018. Bilua is one of two international students who won the Judith Nelson Story Competition on Constructive Journalism. He will travel to Denmark this year (2022) for a Fellowship program on Constructive Journalism.
