Biography

Bernice Beltran is a documentary photographer and writer based in Manila. She began photographing as a hobby when she was studying at the University of the Philippines, where she obtained her degree in Visual Communication. Since she started her career in photography in 2019, she has explored how disasters like war and climate change affect marginalized communities.

In 2020, she received grants from the National Geographic Society and Earth Journalism Network to build upon her previous work with a focus on the environment, indigenous peoples, and women. Her work has appeared on ABS-CBN News Online and Light of the Catholics Asia News.
