Carlos Minuano is a Brazilian journalist and writer, with a graduate degree in audiovisual studies. Over his 20-year career, his work has been published in major outlets across Brazil, including Folha de S. Paulo newspaper, Rolling Stone and Carta Capital magazines, and the Abril publishing house. Currently, Minuano is a freelance reporter for the UOL news portal and has a blog in CartaCapital magazine. He is the founder and editor of Psicodelicamente (independent digital magazine of psychedelic journalism), created with support from the ICFJ (International Center for Journalists), and in partnership with the Meta Journalism Project and Abraji (Brazilian Association of Investigative Journalism). In 2022, he began work on a project initially called Psychedelic Amazon, a journalistic investigation into the impacts of the globalization of ayahuasca in the Amazon region of Peru, with support from the Pulitzer Center's Amazon Rainforest Journalism Fund and the Gabo Foundation. This investigation was published on UOL, Carta Capital, Psicodelicamente and also in foreign outlets, such as the newspaper Metro World News (Chile and Colombia) and the French magazine Courrier International. He is currently working on his third book, “Na Força”, expected to be released in 2024 via publisher Elefante. He is the author of two biographies, Tons de Clô (about fashion designer Clodovil Hernandes) and Raul por trás das canções (about musician Raul Seixas), both published by the Record publishing group.
