Davis Buyondo is an award-winning journalist, audio producer and digital safety trainer based in Southern Uganda. With his degree in Mass Communication, Diploma in journalism, and Sound engineering certificate, he largely reports on Tourism, Environment/Agriculture, Health, Science, Gender, cross-border crime, illicit finance and Human Rights issues across print, electronic/online local and international platforms. 

His work has been published in the New Vision newspaper and website (newvision.co.ug), Uganda Radio Network (News agency), Chinaafricaproject.com, Africa21.org, infonile.org, insightpostug.com, and eyewitnessug.com. In his professional career, he has mentored/nurtured at least 22 journalists who are now working in different media organisations. He is currently mentoring citizen reporters on how to identify unreported and underreported wildlife, environment, health, and human rights issues. His dream is to become a reputable media trainer, join international media networks and contribute stories to international media organisations before he retires.
