Biography

Dion Vansen's journalistic career began when the San Pedro Sun hired him as as one of their staff reporters. Vansen studied English/Literature at University and writing was always one of his main goals. Before starting his journalism career, he wrote scripts for the pilot episode of Belize's first soap opera 'La Isla Bonita,' and co-wrote scripts for the winning award radio drama 'Punta Fuego,' which aired on local radio station Love FM. As a journalist he has managed to raise awareness on the need to protect the marine environment and he hopes to continue encouraging the youth to become guardians of fragile natural resources.
