Biography

Disha Shetty is a science journalist currently based in Pune, India. She writes mainly write on public health, climate change and gender and has an undergraduate degree in mass media. Since leaving education she has experimented with different roles within media before discovering science journalism. In between various projects she has taken breaks to go back to college - first to Asian College of Journalism (ACJ) and then more recently to Columbia University. Disha's reporting on climate change in India for IndiaSpend was a seminal piece in her career where she used data, ground reporting, and narrative long form writing.
