Biography
Hadeer Elhadary is an environmental journalist from Egypt. She is interested in writing on climate change and biodiversity. She is a trainer and the founder of the “Climate Story” initiative, which is concerned with simplifying scientific studies related to climate change and linking them to human stories to provide easy-to-understand content.
She has had fellowships on climate change from Metcalf Institute- Rhode Island University in the United States, The Society of Environmental Journalists in the United States, the German Foreign Ministry "Berlin Energy Transition Dialogue", the Oxford Climate Journalism Network, The World Bank “Innovate 4 Climate” program, “Info Nile”, Climate Tracker organization, Free Press Unlimited organization, the French media development agency “CFI, Goethe-Institute, and Africa21. She won seven awards for her stories on climate change from the Food and Agriculture Organization of the United Nations “FAO”, Africa 21 organization, the Egyptian Syndicate, Plan International organization and the Ministry of Social Solidarity, the Egyptian Ministry of Environment, and CFI, the French media development agency, and the German embassy.
