Biography
Irwin began working in the media in 2015 as Sub-Editor (English), coming in with a Science background (Degree in Biology/Chemistry). With help of his mentors, being self-taught, he delved into reporting. He has reported on various subjects. His first environment/disaster reporting was in 2016, covering the drought on Bellona island and the national relief efforts. Since then he has reported on other environment issues in Solomon Islands. In 2022, he won the prestigious Prime Minister's Scholarship for Journalism, to begin a Bachelors in Journalism programme at the University of the South Pacific in 2023.
