Islam Alatrash, a climate and environmental journalist based in Misrata, Libya, focuses on climate change, human rights, community-led development, religion, politics, and interfaith dialogue. Currently a senior reporter for Deutsche Welle (DW), his work has been published in Reuters, Al Jazeera, CNN, and other notable outlets. Islam is a digital journalist who recently authored "Libya's First Female Deminers Must Deal with More Than Bombs," shedding light on the challenges faced by women in a post-conflict society. In recognition of his dedication, Islam received the Med Media Grant in 2023, supporting his impactful storytelling and contribution to positive change.
