Julia Evans is an investigative journalist at the only publication in South Africa that has a specialist climate crisis reporting unit, Daily Maverick.
 
Primarily based in Johannesburg, the financial and political hub of South Africa, Julia's reporting focuses on the disproportionate impact the climate crisis has on vulnerable communities, works to inform the public in accessible terms about the physical science of climate change and expose the influential relationship between bad governance and climate change.
