Le Thu Mach is a lecturer at the Academy of Journalism and Communication and a researcher for Ho Chi Minh National Academy of Politics in Hanoi, Vietnam. She is a content contributor for a number of websites both in Vietnamese and English languages. Thu earned her doctoral degree in Journalism from Monash University for her thesis about social media and the environmental issues in Vietnam.
