Biography

Lindi Botha is an agricultural journalist and communications specialist based in Nelspruit, South Africa. She writes for numerous publications, including Farmer’s Weekly, Food for Mzansi, Sunday Times and New Ag International. Recently, she has branched out into hosting panel discussions at conferences to guide the agricultural dialogue into a meaningful direction. She has garnered numerous awards during her career, including The International Federation of Agricultural Journalists Star Prize in 2019, and several South African awards for science writing. Lindi serves as the deputy chairperson of the Agricultural Writers’ Association of South Africa, where ensuring professional development of those in the media is a key interest. Communicating success stories within agriculture and its positive contribution to social change and economic upliftment is a core focus of her work.
