Biography

Murad Khan is M. Phil Scholar in Mass Communication. He is a Radio Producer and Freelance Environmental Journalist based in Mohmand Tribal District of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, North West Pakistan. He started his career in Journalism in 2010 and worked for Radio, TV, Print, Website, online Media and VAS (Value added services). Currently he is working as Station Manager and Producer of Pakhtunkhwa Radio Mohmand (Ex-FATA). He covers Biodiversity, Climate and Environmental issues. Previously Mr. Khan worked as Guest Producer in Khyber News (Leading Pashto Language TV Channel in Pakistan) and Assignment Editor in Mashriq TV. He worked ten years as News producer with SUNO FM-96 & 89.6 and Pakistan Broadcasting Corporation (PBC) Islamabad. Besides this, Mr. Murad has worked on different kinds of humanitarian issues during military operation against militants in Ex-FATA. As freelancer Multimedia and Environmental Journalist his written stories have been published in The Nation, The Frontier Post, TNN, Peshawar Today, and ENews. Murad Khan received a fellowship to attend and report from the negotiating sessions of the UN Biodiversity Conference (UNCBD COP15) in Nairobi, Kenya, in 2022, as well as a virtual fellowship to the COP15 final session in Montreal, Canada
