Biography

Based in Delhi (India), Nivedita Khandekar is an independent journalist writing on environmental and developmental issues. She has worked for the Press Trust of India, a news agency, and the Hindustan Times, a major daily from the national capital. Nivedita has been writing in newspapers since last year of college but decided to be a full-time journalist to be the voice of people in the remote areas. "Awards encourage and fellowships help me do exactly that by travelling to interior areas to explore the less written topics."
