I'm a multimedia journalist with over five years' experience. I'm employed with The Wire. Before this, I worked at BloombergQuint. I'm skilled and experienced in video editing, videography, production, and reporting. I have technical knowledge of various multimedia tools. I apply this knowledge to render a story in different media. I have produced a variety of feature video content over the course of my career. In the last two years, I've widely reported from Punjab, covered the Bihar elections and done in-depth reports of India's experience with COVID-19. My report for the Pegasus Project has reopened the conversation on human rights in Punjab, against the backdrop of the wide-ranging legislative and judicial impact of The Wire’s reports on the topic. I've reported on unsustainable agricultural practices in Punjab, excessive water pollution in the Sutlej river, and extreme recurring floods in Bihar. All stories were produced both in text and video formats online. My story on Sutlej's pollution, in collaboration with the US publication Purpose, was translated to Gurmukhi. The translated story reached a wider population and has provided momentum to discussions and efforts of activists and policy-makers on solving the pollution crisis in the Sutlej.
