
Biography
Sakhile Dube is a freelance journalist, writer and a media development professional based in Johannesburg South Africa. She has five years of experience in the industry and very passionate about writing and reporting on issues affecting vulnerable and marginalized populations. Dube also covers a variety of topics, including business and finance, culture, gender equality, climate change, women's empowerment, health, and digital technology. Dube is naturally inquisitive and commits herself on connecting dots to find underlying causes of things. This reaffirms her commitment to a career in journalism and media studies. She is a 2017 Global Investigative Journalism Network (GIJN) fellow, and a 2018/2019 African Investigative Journalism Network (AIJN) fellow. Dube is currently pursuing a Master’s degree in Journalism and Media Studies at the University of Witwatersrand. She also holds a Postgraduate Diploma in Journalism from Rhodes University as well as a Bachelor’s degree in Communication Science from the University of South Africa.
