Biography
Sen Nguyen is a Vietnamese journalist with a focus on features and analysis. She has covered everything from out-migration in the Mekong Delta, Southeast Asian migrant workers, racial discrimination in the United States, social injustice in Cambodia, to sexual violence in Vietnam. Her work and broadcast commentary have appeared in South China Morning Post (SCMP), Al Jazeera, Thomson Reuters Foundation, ITV News, Rest of World, among others.
She is currently a regular contributor for the SCMP, which is a Hong Kong-based English-language newspaper. Before writing for international news outlets, she worked for VnExpress, one of the largest newsrooms in Vietnam. Last year, her coverage about inequalities was selected as one of the top five entries from Vietnam and she was given a Merit Award at the Journalism for Equitable Asia Award organized by Oxfam in Asia and Asia Center.
