Sofia Fagroud has been a presenter and reporter on Moroccan radio since 2009. She specialized in environmental journalism 8 years ago. In 2023, she produced a report on invasive algae in the Mediterranean with the support of Earth Journalism Network. This report is in the running for the Hassan II Prize for the environment. In 2022, she won first prize in the international competition organized by the French media development agency Canal France international (CFI) in the Employment, Youth and Environment category for her report entitled "Red algae against poverty and pollution". In 2018, she won the Grand Prix de la Presse in Morocco for her report entitled "the little neighbors of the sun".
