Biography

Suzanne Paxton is a radio journalist and presenter at the SABC, the national broadcaster of South Africa, where she has worked for 16 years. She was awarded the Environmental Journalist of the Year Award in 2017/2018 and 2018/2019. Her beats are Environment, Politics and Economy. Her latest three-part series on climate change, broadcasted on radio and television and funded by EJN has resulted in Wits University's Global Change Institute doing an paper on an extreme climate event featured in her series. She believes in impact journalism and that the stories she tells should have a positive impact on the communities to which she broadcasts.
