Biography
Border journalist born in Mexicali, Baja California. I studied International Relations, but there are documents that support that, since I was a child, I showed an inordinate interest in understanding the environment, history, and culture. I have been an independent journalist for 10 years, collaborating for media such as Ocean Room, Atlas Acuática, Son Playas, Playboy México, Excelsior, Vice Latin America, GQ, Climate Tracker, among others.
In 2016 I began to follow up on the crisis of the vaquita in the Upper Gulf of California; the smallest cetacean in the world and the one with the highest risk of extinction. Since then I have focused my journalistic investigations on issues of sustainability and conservation in the north of Mexico.
