Biography

Wisumperuma has been contributing as a freelancer to print media in Sri Lanka since 1999, both in Sinhala as well as English. 

He has been writing to Vidusara Science Magazine (Sinhala language weekly) since 2002 and mainly covers topics on environment (with special attention on climate change) other than social and consumer issues. He compiles a weekly global environmental news collection to that too.

He has written to other print media outlets such as Sunday Lankadeepa and Divaina (weekly Sinhala nationals), The Nation and The Island (weekly and daily English nationals).
