Biography

Wang Yan started to cover and report on environment issues in China and launched the environment section of NewsChina Magazine since 2008. So far, she has finished stories on various environment-related topics including water/air/soil pollution, ecological protection, biodiversity and species losses, climate change and etc. Her professional reports have won awards both inside and outside China, including Asian Environment Journalist Awards for two consecutive years.

Additionally, she has also been funded by a number of fellowship programs to report on environment issues across the world.  Reports on pangolin preservation and deepsea mining have reached profound readership worldwide in recent years.
