Senior thematic experts and policymakers will make presentations to journalists and interact with them to help improve skills that will enable better reportage on climate change issues, especially adaptation to the effects of global warming. The workshop will include a field trip to facilitate ground-level reportage of the subject.

Topic: | The workshop will focus on climate change effects and adaptation in the central and western Himalayas. Journalists from print, TV, online & radio from the Western Himalayan region (Jammu & Kashmir, Himachal Pradesh and Uttarakhand) reporting on Himalayan issues will be given preference. Applications from journalists based in Punjab, Haryana, Chandigarh, Delhi and Uttar Pradesh reporting on Himalayan issues will also be considered. |

- Later this year, the Third Pole will hold a similar workshop with a focus on the eastern Himalayas
