A Visit to the World's Best Fish Market in Portugal
Portugal has a fish market that has been named one of the best in the world. The market, located in the city of Setúbal, was built in 1876, replacing a previous market that was demolished in the aftermath of an earthquake. Not only does it have a long history, but it is also one of the most sustainable fisheries markets in the world.
This market is an important source of employment and income for people in Setubal. It also sells vegetables and herbs from the local farmers.
