Bangladesh will seek special allocation from Green Climate Fund

Dr. Saleemul Huq, a senior fellow in the climate change group at the International Institute for Environment & Development (IIED) said that countries like Bangladesh will seek a special allocation from the Green Climate Fund, a financial mechanism under the United Nations Framework Convention on Climate Change to help developing countries finance low-carbon, climate-resilient development to counter climate change. Since the current process of getting funding from GCF is complicated, special allocation would be a quicker solution for poor and vulnerable countries to take adaptation measures. CCMP Fellow GM Mostafizul Alam has this live interview in Bengali from the UN climate talks in Madrid.
