The following video portrays the reasons why a group of young Colombians, who are part of Friday is for Future and Pacto por el Clima, joined the massive protests that took place on Friday and Saturday in Glasgow (Scotland), parallel to COP26.
They seek to make visible the murdered environmental leaders in Colombia, and demand that the voices of the global south are considered and that climate commitments are fulfilled.
"We are no longer fighting for our future but for our present," says Emiliana Rickenmann of Fridays for Future Bogotá and Latinas por el Clima.
