Czech Prime Minister Tried to Sell Czech Experience with Nuclear Energy at Baku Climate Conference
"We will help you with development of your nuclear energy projects,“ the Prime Minister Petr Fiala of the ODS Party offered to world leaders at the climate conference. He also called for setting realistic climate goals. Some 80 presidents, vice presidents and prime ministers spoke at the summit at the start of the COP29 conference in Baku, Azerbaijan. There, nations will try to agree on climate finance by the end of next week.
Our reporter Jana Karasova explains why Fiala praised nuclear power at the climate conference and what critics of the plans are pointing out. As he left Baku, the Prime Minister reiterated that he wants more countries to get involved in climate finance in developing countries.
