Czech Prime Minister Wants to Speak at COP29 About a Pragmatic Approach to Tackling Climate Change
The climate summit continues today in Baku, Azerbaijan. Some eighty statesmen have arrived. Czech Prime Minister Petr Fiala of the ODS party is also addressing the summit today.
The Czech Prime Minister wants to speak at the summit about a pragmatic approach to tackling climate change. He believes it is necessary to address the impacts of climate change, but at the same time to set realistic goals. Fiala also repeatedly mentions nuclear energy in Baku. The summit is part of the annual UN climate conference. This year, countries are aiming to set new financing for climate action and support for countries that cannot afford it with their own money. Fiala says more countries should contribute to this than they have done so far.
