Indonesia promotes low-carbon development initiative at UN climate summit

The Indonesian government at this year’s United Nations climate change summit promoted low-carbon development as a new initiative to reduce the country’s greenhouse gas emissions. This initiative will allow the country's economic growth to reach between 5 to 6 percent a year, according to officials.

Several projects have been planned on the increasing use of power sources from renewable energy. To date, the Indonesian government is drafting the Energy Bill to speed up the implementation of renewable energy development in the country.
