Against the backdrop of the 28th Annual Conference on Climate Change, commonly known as COP28, convened in the United Arab Emirates (UAE), Mohsin Naqvi, the Chief Minister of Punjab, Pakistan, actively participated in a dedicated panel focused on addressing environmental changes and devising strategies for smog resolution in the Punjab province. During the panel discussion, Naqvi emphasized the detrimental consequences arising from the extensive burning of crops in Indian Punjab, impacting both Indian and Pakistani Punjab and resulting in severe smog conditions. He underscored the critical necessity for collaborative global efforts to comprehensively address and resolve this urgent environmental issue.
