Lucky Medina at COP16: "The Military are the Backbone of the Environmental Protection Axes" in Honduras
President Xiomara Castro did not attend the Biodiversity Summit (COP16) in Cali, Colombia, despite the announcement made by the Colombian Foreign Ministry a few months ago. In an interview with Contracorriente, the Minister of the Secretariat of Natural Resources and Environment (Serna), Lucky Medina, spoke to us about the government's participation in this summit, the sources of funding that have been accessed to preserve biodiversity in Honduras, and the leading role that the military has in tasks that not only involve the commons, but also the construction of a mega-prison on an island with a high biological diversity.
