Moo Deng, the pygmy hippopotamus that went viral in Bangkok, Thailand, suddenly appeared at the COP29 United Nations Climate Change Conference in Baku, Azerbaijan.
Although only a replica and made of acrylic, Moo Deng caught visitors' attention.
Participants took turns taking pictures with the animal at the Thailand Pavilion.
The Thailand Pavilion also provided photographers and even printed photos to take home.
Host country Azerbaijan and other countries such as Morocco, Senegal, Kenya, and Mauritania also exhibited animals.
The pygmy hippo is a native African species that is now declared endangered by the IUCN.
