Biography

Najifa Farhat is a young journalist based in Dhaka, Bangladesh covering issues related to environment, climate change, wildlife and marine life. She started journalism from her sophomore years as a sub-editor. SO the journey started from desk but soon she started reporting from streets of Dhaka to some of the remotest corners of Bangladesh covering pressing issues including urban pollution, industrial wastages, fossil fuel based power plant, natural disasters, wildlife slaughtering and so on. She primarily works for a newspaper along with freelancing for national and international organizations by producing multimedia content. Apart from the grant of EJN, she also won another grants from Deutsche Well in 2021 to produce a story on groundwater contamination in Bangladesh.
