Biography

Sharon Kiburi is a multimedia data expert with excellent skills in production & writing, content creation, research, data analysis & visualisations. As a freelance multimedia data journalist, she is enthusiastic about storytelling using multimedia tools. She occasionally volunteers as a content creator producing digital content for social media platforms of the Association of Freelance Journalists(AFJ) and Talk Africa. In this online publication, she contributes to news features on governance, climate change & environment, technology and development for human interest. 

She is passionate about applying multimedia elements in storytelling. Her work has been published in The Star, Zenger News international, MESHA Sayansi, the Standard, Citizen digital, and Talk Africa. She can analyse and visualise data using flourish, Tableau software, infographics, Canva and plotly python. She is aware of the power that a well-told news feature can have. Hence she utilises all acquired multimedia skills to ensure articles reach the target audiences.
