Dewi Safitri started on her journalistic path in 2000 and is currently working for CNN Indonesia based in Jakarta. She mainly focuses on science, tech, climate and media by contributing to TV and digital for CNN Indonesia. Formerly the secretary-general of the Society of Indonesian Science Journalists (SISJ), Dewi is keen to push for science and climate topics to have a larger presence on the Indonesian media landscape.
In 2022, she lead a workshop that highlighted Indonesia's near extinct biodiversity for SISJ with the support of EJN's Biodiversity Media Initiative Project. She's a member of Oxford Climate Journalism Network and lives in Bekasi, West Java, with three teenagers and six cats.
