Using Data to Investigate Pangolin Trafficking

The COVID-19 pandemic has cast a spotlight on the wildlife trade and its role in the transmission of viruses from animals to humans. In this webinar, journalists Trang Bui in Vietnam and Xu Jiaming in China share insights and tips on how to gather and analyze data drawn from court documents and local media reports to track trends in wildlife trafficking.

Trang Bui and Xu Jiaming are part of a group of journalists from 14 countries involved with The Pangolin Reports, a global investigation into the pangolin trade by the Environmental Reporting Collective, a new collaborative group of reporters and editors.
